This last weekend we ended up riding the Hole in The Rock trail in Southern Utah. The group consisted of about twenty and the majority were from New Mexico. We had such a fun time with family. We were there by Thursday afternoon, we all headed out and within the next few hours had four different flat tires. Dave ended up pinching his tire between his rim so we get to buy a new tire now but we were able to make it in good time into Marble camp, set up the tents and made dinner as the sun was setting. The next day we took off and made it to the viewpoint where you can see hole in the rock. We had bonfires each night and stayed up late listening to old missionary stories and high school stories from Blanding.
Saturday morning we worked on fixing tires and flats, with two broken air compressors and a can of slime, we were able to get out alright. On the way home Dave was already making a mental note of everything we need to buy to be more prepared next trip. This included a lot of plugs, a new air compressor, a can of slime, as well as the idea to wrap the can with foam to protect it in our boxes. You gotta love how he is always thinking and coming up with a plan.

On the drive down, Gunner would want to hop on the four wheeler and then would pat behind him for Jason to assume his rightful position. I don't think I have ever known a little boy to be more of a daddy's boy. |

My big brother and his little side kick |

Always impressed with Dave's packing skills, everything we needed for three days pretty much fit in our boxes. We loved our new cooler on the front of Dave's box, you can put ice directly into it if you want. I think it is one of my new favorite pieces of gear. |

Dave telling Corbin how they used to burn these yucca plants when he worked at Wilderness Quest |

These brothers played here for quite a while eventually getting a shoe all wet, they were sliding down and under each other, this camp is a total playground for kids and nervous parents |

These brothers rode around for an hour the second day before we left camp. It was fun to see how good they have become and pretty fearless too. Dave and I were impressed with how Corbin would help Cayden through the more difficult sections of the trail by having him follow his line. |
|
Jason was a little concerned how his boy would handle the rough trail but every time they would come to a stop he would would want to go again, they woke up the morning we headed out and when he asked Gunner if he wanted to go home, he said, "No." |
|
I loved having Ryan hang out with me for the day, she is one of the toughest girls I know, every time I would hit a rock or bump she would have to reposition herself. |
|
I'm loving how big sister is hugging her little sister looking all protective of her |
|
My dad made it after some injuries on the way in. He really is the toughest guy I know. He loaded up on pain pills and tried to take it easy and went at an easier pace and did awesome! |
|
What I think is the most difficult section of the whole trail |
|
Seriously love these two guys! |

Everybody made it to see hole in the rock |
