Bear goes over the Mountain

      We came home from Blanding on Sunday and went straight over to my parents to decompress from the long drive.  We also got to have FHE with Macey and Caleb leading it.  It was on baptism and Macey did an excellent job of teaching as well as handing out hand drawn birthday cakes for everyone to color at the end where we put 8 candles on top.  We weren't allowed to have more than three markers at a time and they were all graded in the end, Macey got first place and Dave got 6th or last.  He told her that 6th was a nice way of saying loser.  Macey loves teaching and being a group organizer. 

      I seriously think Dave is so cute with kids!  Caleb and Macey have a new "hut"  they have found.  Caleb was really excited to show it to us on Sunday.  It was really windy and cold, but we headed out anyways, after quite a few nice pleas from him and then a desperate one followed with some tears.  He was so excited about it we thought be better check it out.  We bundled up and by the time we were in the front yard he had his red wagon loaded with all of my Mom's garden tools ready to do some work on the hut.  He hoped in the wagon and we wheeled him out into the field where there's a big dirt mound.  The special hut was actually a flat area on top where the kids had stacked up dirt clods.  I loved it, every kid needs a hut.He dug in the dirt with a hoe for a second then we headed back inside.

      So Caleb has a new obsession, it's called Bear goes over the Mountain and he is in love.  It starts out with Dave getting under a blanket and Dave shooting him with his two play shot guns then jumping on back for a ride on the wounded bear who then wrestles and tickles him.  The whole thing is repeated about a dozen times until bear is exhausted.  Macey likes to get in on the action too.  All the other adults in the family like to sit on the couch and watch Dave do all the hard work.  This last week Dad showed Caleb how to jump off the ottoman and land on the bear's back and he won't stop doing it now.
