This last weekend Dave and I were trying to get more ready for our
Wapta ski traverse in April where we will be heading to Canada and doing
some ski mountaineering/hopefully powder skiing. We are starting to
feel the crunch time-wise though and Dave is has been patiently teaching
me in the basement at nights.
I feel like I am definitely
starting from the very beginning and at this point he says that on a
scale of 1-10 that I am a three as far as in being ready, yikes! I
didn't realize when we committed to this trip the effort that I would
need to put in to being prepared. But ski mountaineering is a dream I
have always had that I felt was out of reach, I'm excited to become more
proficient in this new interest.
We were hanging out in the shop when everyone came down to see us swinging from the rafters.
I have been on call all weekend but my Mom and I were able to make a quick trip out to Orem to do some quick errands. I really love being able to spend time with her with just the two of us and love the fact that she's so easy to talk to and fun to shop with and have fun conversations with while driving in the car. She never fails to spoil either and make it a fun trip in every way!
