This year we decided to do something as a family where we got away for a weekend and hung out together somewhere other than Roosevelt for a change. My family spends a lot of time together, mostly on Sundays where we eat and just hang out. My mom bought tickets for everyone at Tuacahn so that we could see Alladin the musical. We also stayed at a condo at a resort with a couple swimming pools everyone had a lot of fun hanging out by. Everyone headed down Thursday and Dad and Dave came down Friday night for the play.
I think it was one of the most relaxing vacations ever. It was so fun to spend more time with Gunner and Britton too, the two newest members of the family and spend time with my two sister-in-laws also who are awesome!
Saturday morning we woke up and went hiking in the trails above town and then went to the Jacob Hamblin home, a historic site n Santa Clara which was pretty interesting. We all grabbed lunch and met up at a splash park in town by the temple. We hung out there for a couple hours during which Caleb ran face first into another little boy when the water was splashing, poor little guy.
We ended up at Texas Road House for dinner where Lindsay informed the waiter that it was Dave's birthday. He had no idea she had until they brought out a saddle on a saw horse and invited him to sit on it while they whooped and hollered for him. Right when they started to bring it to our table he was so funny, he started to unbutton his shirt and yelled, "Yea, first one naked at every party." (That's a favorite line of his). The next thing he informed the waitress was about his bad case of hemorrhoids he was experiencing at the time, no one believed him. He then grudgingly climbed on the saddle, but backwards so he was staring at the waitresses and his back was too us. The whole time he had a really confused, serious look on his face and we were all giggling and clapping. In the end he said his goal was to make everyone else in the restaurant feel uncomfortable as he stared at them, making their plan backfire on them.
