Eccentric Peak

Had fun with mom and friend a couple weeks ago when we hiked to one of the peaks in the Uintah mountains that is over 12,000 ft tall.  I didn't know there were people out trying to climb all of them, so without really planning on it we ticked one off the list.  The hike was beautiful and the weather perfect.  From the top we could see into Wyoming and could see about a dozen lakes off in the distance.
My mom made the best chicken sandwiches for lunch and of course we forgot them but ended up having a great lunch spread of some granola bars and other random things.  I thought I was pretty smart to remember to use my picnic table cloth I won at bunco, right?  The perfect world for me would being able to go hiking right out my back door.  It took about an hour to drive here, but the nice thing was that we were pretty much alone all day and could really enjoy the solitude.  On the way back down we watched a moose hang out in a lake with some fishers nearby.

Found theses two cuddling after her nap and she was a little grumpy until brother gave her some attention.  Seriously I don't think these two can get more precious!
