Every year our cousins have reserved a campsite by the daily river run on the Snake river.  We love going up and camping for a few days to enjoy the river and spending time with cousins.  We usually run the river on Friday and Saturday then head into town on Saturday for dinner.  We are already looking forward to next year.  This year Dave had the idea to try to surf a hole right after big kahuna.  Darren was a good sport to go along with his idea.  I watched as Dave carried the boat single handedly on his back up the river then he and Darren and my brother hopped in.  Long story short, the hole won, they flipped pretty fast, were thrown and spit out at the bottom.  Dave loves surfing holes in our cutthroats.  I am sure he already has a strategy for next year.
Other things we love about these trips....the saltwater taphy you can get in town, all the outdoor gear stores, the unpredictable weather, it can be freezing one minute and hot the next.  I love being able to spend time with my cousins, I'm so glad we get invited along!
Cowboy was so excited to get his first real cowboy hat that Grandpa found in Jackson Hole and bought for him.  He loves to wear only cowboy boots and will usually tuck his jeans into the top.  He loved camping and running the river and was constantly playing with the water in camp and trying to get everyone wet, just like his mom loved to do years ago.

As Dave would say, "Just a bunch of salty ol' river dawgs!"
