Every summer for the last 13 years my cousing Darren has put together trips to Jackson Hole to run the daily on the Snake and do other fun stuff around that area. This last weekend over the 24th was the week he had reserved the campsite. Dave and I were planning on going but after months of not having to work weekends he had to work this last one, such a bummer, it's always more fun when he's there. Instead my friend, whom I like to call "Boss" because she actually is let me tag along with her and her hubbie Albert. We ran it on Friday and then went into town that night and got some delicious salt water taffy, I seriously love that stuff, then watched my brother Jason try on cowboy hats, ate at the Merry Piglets, then ran it again on Saturday.
I went in a duckie with Boss for the first time and we just about got bowled over by on small wave, but were victorious in the end. We did bail out and hop in the raft before Kahuna and Lunch Counter rapids though, maybe next year. It was fun to get together with cousins I haven't hung out with for years even though we live in the same town (which is ridiculous I know) and it was also a good reminder that although some things are a long drive away, it's worth the effort and drive.
I'm loving the picture of the red miniature boat with 5 adults in it popping a wheelie, ohh yea!

I love the Jackson Hole area, its so pretty. Glad you had fun, too bad Dave had to work.
The Merry Piglets is my VERY FAVORITE restaurant in Jackson. Especially after a day of good recreation!
I was in Jackson on Saturday. How funny. If we didn't have our kiddos, we were going to run the river. Looks like fun.
How fun Michelle! Im glad you were able to go with a buddy. Too bad Dave couldn't go, Im sure he wishes he could have gone.
I hope your doing well. I need to call and chat with you sometime when life slows down a bit....oh wait, it never does:) I will find time, how about that!
Looks like fun! I still haven't done that daily trip. Maybe next year... We are excited to see you next weekend!
Five summers in the Tetons and I've never tried the taffy. I guess I've got something new to do next time we go!

I really enjoy your blog Michelle. Glacier is breath-taking. We are in Missoula now so we don't have any excuses for not going and checking it out. You are quite the photographer. We spent the New Year with Dan at his cabin. It was amazing and so relaxing. The snowboarding was sick with hardly anyone in the lines. Let me know if you guys come through this way so we can say hi and hang out.
