Rafting the Green

Don't you think these pictures of Dave are so flattering to his lips? Gotta love him.  We affectionately refer to these weird facial gestures as the "bird beak."

I don't know if you can call it rafting or floating at this water level, but it was a nice relaxing day with family and some friends of my brother Jason, who is captain of the paddle boat. He is dateing a cute girl, Sherry, that we are all trying to not get too attached too, she brought her two incredibly cute kids out along with some other friends. Dave and I loaded up one of our cutthroats and put on below the dam. The best thing about the Green river is that the water is crystal clear and there's so many fish there you can see them floating along as you go down.

We took off the river and drove home and were too tired to do much of anything for the rest of the day. Why is it that in college I used to stay up until 2 in the morning and now I start to have an anxiety attack if I'm not in bed by 10 pm?
This is the big dilemma, maybe some of you can relate....If I'm not in bed by a certain time I start to stress out because I have to get up at 5 a.m., so it's a balancing act of being proactive with motivating Dave to go to bed who always needs to read himself a bedtime story out of one of his favorite magazines. Hopefully by the time the lights are out I can stay relaxed enough to get some shut eye. If not then I am checking my alarm clock at 10:30, then at 11:00, then at 11:30, then feeling desperate enough to get myself out of bed and do what I should have done hours ago, pop a benadryl!

Dave and I went to my parents house on Sunday for birthday dinner for my dad, had some hamburgers and hung out after. It's so fun to have my parents in town and always relaxing to go hang out and my mom always manages to have something good to eat when we're there, just like my Grandma Gardner has always been. I can't go visit my grandma without her sending me home with a jar of homemade jam or a plate of cookies, these ladies are my inspiration!!

Sounds like the Green river was a lot of fun. Is the Green very far from your house? I can totally relate to not staying up late anymore. When Alex and I were dating, we would stay up until 4 or 6 a.m. talking or watching movies. Now we are in bed by 10:30 I guess we are getting old with our husbands. oh well.

Hey, any time you guys want to come up for a vaction to Caldwell let us know. I wish we could move back to Utah, but Alex really enjoys his job. With Dave working so much, do you feel like your single again? I did sometimes when Alex was working a lot. Have fun in the Uintahs.

HEY Michelle!

Cute blog. Who went on the green with you guys? My friend Brooke and her husband Jordan were out hanging out with Jason a couple weeks back and went camping with him and a bunch of friends. How is life? Enjoy the rest of your summer before its GONE.

Love ya
