MOAB TRIP

So due to Dave's, I know you're all sick of hearing about it, crazy schedule we decided we needed some R&R and were luckily able to take off to Moab for 4 days this last weekend, it was the only other kind of longer trip we had done since May and long overdue. Nothing is better than going away for an extended period of time, but to be honest about a month would have been ideal. It was so relaxing..I woke up the second day there and saw something I hadn't seen for awhile - clear white eyes. - I've gotten so used to having red eyes I forgot what it was like and no visine doesn't help, only restful sleep. I know what you're all thinking "Just wait till you have kids, right?"
So anyways the first trail we did was Determination towers, then we did another one where we crossed a creed about 40 times, then we did the Manti La Sal Pass and then another one where there was some wind caves and old homesteads. The fun thing with Moab is there is a never-ending network of trails and you never get bored of the red rock scenery, plus the town has such a cool feel to it with all the bikers and jeepers running around. We are trying to figure out when to go back.

I love going to Moab! There is always so much to do and see. I am sure a 4 day vacation with your husband was very nice and very much needed.

I think that place with 2 pics of cave should be teepee tunnel. Reminds me of cave we went to in Page AZ.

I love Moab! I miss the red rock, you're right it never gets old. I'm glad you guys are taking off when you get the chance away from Dave's work...It allows me to live vicariously. I feel relaxed already just pretending we were with you!

Moab really is pretty cool. . .even if therte are bikes and jeeps everywhere :-) You must have some kind of crazy nurse instint. Liam was just about to be born when you commented on our blog. I am having trouble getting pics on there, but there is the condensed version of the epic.

Michelle! I was so excited that you "found" me and commented on my blog! It looks like you are having lots of adventures. And I am curious, what does your husband do? I noticed from reading a few posts that he is gone a lot with a crazy schedule.
By the way, I think you do have a pretty amazing mom. What a great sport she is. :)
I love being able to keep in touch through blogging. Thank you for writing. By the way, I was trying to remember what Mandy's nickname was for you in the mission. Was it Big G? I only have a vague recollection. Do you remember what Lynette's nickname was? Hot Lime or something, right?
Funny times! ha ha... it seems like forever ago.

Hey Michelle,
I'm so glad you have a blog! And, of course, you guys do the coolest things. I guess Dave was telling Ken how much fun you guys have four-wheeling and I saw the wheels in Ken's head going around...
Hope to see you guys soon.

Hello Michelle and Dave! Well we are not going to Blanding for Thanksgiving. It will be the first time in many years. All Brayd's family is heading up north. We didn't actually get a wheeler. Brayd got a motorcyle and we got a tent trailer for Brayd's elk hunt. Someday we'll get wheeler's or something similar.

To answer your last question on our blog, Yes we are planning on going to down south to St. George before Christmas, but staying here in stupid Idaho for Thanksgiving. Maybe we could stop by and show off Slick to you guys and see your new house too.
